![]() If you use a Quick or Strong Attack right after pressing the Dash button, Raikoh will perform a special Dash Attack which can be very effective against certain enemies. This is with Raikoh's standard sword, and remember that combos and fighting styles will vary depending upon the weapon. So you can use up to three consecutive Quick Attacks and finish them with a Strong Attack, or simply use four Quick Attacks. It can't start any complex combos, but it will certainly end them. Your strong attack can be considered a combo in itself, in some cases capable of giving you many "hits" if used repeatedly on stationary targets like Kesan. Know the strengths and weaknesses of everything in your arsenal so you'll know when to use them. Some weapons might be stronger, but will have a defense penalty. Plus, it looks really cool! Your combat style will vary depending upon the weapon you have equipped. Controls (Standard Control Scheme, can be modified in the Options Menu) A - Jump (A is jump because you'll be using it a lot) B - Quick Attack (weaker but faster, good for combos) X - Spell (If you have a spell equipped, hold X to increase its power) Y - Strong Attack (slower, but much stronger) Right Thumbstick - Controls Camera, but left and right are reversed Left Thumbstick - Controls Movement and Direction Left Trigger - Locks on to a nearby enemy Right Trigger - Dash (This can't be used if you're out of magic) Combat The combat system in Otogi is simple enough to learn quickly but deep enough to keep you on your toes. She is his only guide, but her true identity and intentions are a mystery. Raikoh's very existence is reliant upon the magic bestowed upon him by the Princess. She is an enigma who sends Raikoh out on assignments to cleanse the world of demons, who are once again trying to take over now that the Great Seal has collapsed. In Otogi, you take on the role of Raikoh, the last member of the Clan of Death. In some ways, it's like a certain other Xbox game made by Sega about a certain ancient dragon. Otogi: Myth of Demons takes place in a fictional abstract world that borrows elements from our own world (specifically, Japanese mysticism), creating a timeless universe of infinite depth. So some people might get stuck at certain parts in the game, and just can't seem to figure out the trick to demolishing that wicked demon. ![]() Otogi has the perfect amount of challenge in it, but the difficulty isn't adjustable. With so many levels and weapons to play around with, it's sure to last you a long time. ![]() It uses all sorts of fancy special effects from particles to lighting, and plays smooth the whole way through. Otogi is a single player game, with much better visual flair and creativity. ![]() There hasn't been such a great game for 40 bucks sinceā¦ well, Ghost Recon Island Thunder. So you bought Otogi: Myth of Demons for Xbox? Good choice.
